In the rare case that our bread is not immediately devoured, here are some great ways to store our products.
Cover the cut side-down on a cutting board with a good towel.
Place your fresh loaf into a Ziploc bag in a bread box or refrigerator.
Double wrap in cellophane and bag to place in the freezer.
Slice your loaf into slices, place parchment paper between the slices, put the slices into a Ziploc, and freeze. For easy use, place as many slices as you would use in a day.
If your loaf has been out and is hard, brush it with water, wrap it in a towel, and put it in the oven for 3-7 minutes at 300-325 degrees.
Remove from the freezer and let thaw in the bag for a few hours. Once thawed, heat in the oven for 3-7 minutes at 350 degrees.
Keep the cinnamon rolls UN-frosted
If you know you’ll be reheating your rolls, hold off on the icing until after you’ve reheated them.
Thaw frozen cinnamon rolls before reheating them.
You can thaw them on the counter overnight.
RE-MOISTURIZE
Always sprinkle a tablespoon or two of water on each cinnamon roll to help re-moisturize them. If the cinnamon rolls are already dry and stale, slathering on extra butter works wonders for masking the stale texture.
How to reheat cinnamon rolls in the oven (or toaster oven)
Time: 10-15 minutes
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Sprinkle one tablespoon of water on each cinnamon roll or add a small pat of butter.
Cover the cinnamon rolls with foil.
Place the cinnamon rolls on a baking tray and reheat in the oven for 10-15 minutes*.
Add extra icing before serving if you have any.
How to reheat cinnamon rolls in the microwave
Time: 10 - 30 seconds, or less depending on your appliance.
Place a single cinnamon roll on a microwave-safe plate and place a small pat of butter on top of it (if no icing).
Dampen a single paper towel and cover the cinnamon roll with it (use toothpicks if you don’t want it to touch the icing).
Microwave on full power in 10-second increments. Most cinnamon rolls will be thoroughly reheated in 20-30 seconds.
Remove the cinnamon roll from the microwave, ice it, and let it sit for 60 seconds before serving (it will be very hot).
